World of Goo at the Indie Games Concert!

So I recently found out about an indie game music concert that was held back in March, in Holland, where a whole lot of music from indie games was played with by a small orchestra (12 people), in front of a live audience.

I initially discovered it through a recording of VVVVVV music being played there, but along with that there was also music from 16 other indie games, including WoG! You can listen to all the performances here, as well as buy the album (or individual songs).

The WoG performance is a compilation of these songs (these are the names in the OST, not the game files):

  • World of Goo Beginning (i.e. main theme)
  • Ode to the Bridge Builder
  • Jelly
  • Tumbler

It's really nicely done. The instruments used, and the little twists put in some background elements, remind me of the Psychonauts soundtrack.

What, really? I know it says name your price, but I figured it'd have a minimum. Still, I'd pay something to support the creation of a second concert.

Does 2013 be a first concert?

As far as I know this was the first concert of this kind. I read that if possible they'll try and do more, although I'm not sure when.
