I don't have the foggiest idea what happened other than the screen glitching out completely. Care to explain what happens here?

I think it's the same bug as I shown in BUG School #5, and it is that the dynamic geometries, water force field and the strands disappears after the bug is triggered. And sometimes the FPS will be lowered.
The following actions are known to trigger the bug:
This bug can also be triggered in the original level, as I shown before.
The reason is unknown. Isn't it amazing?

This bug was the main idea for my third level for the on the run trilogy (evil data erasing firewall-balls). Though there is a little problem, it can cause a game crash. When you're holding a gooball ready to attach at the moment the glitch happens the game will crash.
Just saying this Bug needs to be handled with caution
