what have you done so far, and where do you need help?

edit: the amount of files, and size of the mod could be the main problems.
i don't think David would be very amused about an 80+ MB goomod.
and i for sure can't upload such a monster file.

I don't have access to my comp. very often for very long so I'm not starting this project jet.

I read that this mod overrides almost all levels in the game.

My plan was to install it and to manually decrypt each level to .xml then put it in compile/res/levels/ directory. The images and music would go in the.. well you get the point . Will do the one by one. Oh.. I forgot about the balls! This is going insane!

I only don't know where to put properties folder
And if something else is changed except res and properties.

You can do what you want, start from level one, I'll start from back. Everything you do upload it to some file hosting site, link me, I'll download it and compile it all together.

... but first we'll wait for davidcs permission.

If you two are going to work on this together maybe I could help out with an FTP server you could work on and share files over. Much more comfortable than using some file hoster imo. If you're interested, just drop me a line and I'll create an account and send you the details.

I don't think you can upload files above 10 or 20MB, but if you e-mail it to me I can copy it into place by hand.

that's easy, because you can decode the whole "WoG Time For Real" directory at once. and then make the newly created directory your "compile" dir.
and you don't need to install it for that.

yeah this could be a bit time consuming.
i would copy the whole WOG-TFR/res/ dir, and put it in the "ovverride" dir.
then delete all the .bin and possibly .db files (maybe write a batch/script that does this?)
and look if other files can be deleted. (i think "wogc" has many or even all original files, so we wouldn't need that)

the "properties" folder is on the same level as the "res" level, like in the mod, and in WoG itself.
the easy way would be to just leave it in the compile dir. (see above.)

a more complicated way would be to look what parts have been changed in the text.xml.xml and write a text.xml.xsl with these changes.
that would be in "properties" under "merge".

and i think if you do it like i eplained, i don't have to upload any parts.

Isn't WoG - TfR in .exe format. I didn't know gootool can decrypt a directory at one, or are you talking about making a new crypter that does?

I'm for the first option, the second is to much work.

I guessing is long gone from community, if he shows up then will ask him for permission.

If you decide to use my FTP, uploading to goofans won't be a problem at all. We just give davidc the link then.

Only 6 GooGuns and this 80MB mod to go!

BTW:Biggest file on goofans.com is wog inverted.It's over 30 mb!

well the link is not broken but it takes you to a website that is shown in Hungarian and there is no download link whatsoever in that website! FIX THE LINK SO IT WON'T DO THIS!

durr, it'd be good if you thought (and read) a little before demanding. This mod was not made by any one of us, the original author is not around and there's nothing we can do about it.
