Hey, it's fine. Most people here didn't learn english as their first language, and so there are a lot of completely unintelligible posters. For example, some of the forum posts that kidkidaaa1 made we couldn't understand at all, simply because of small English mistakes.

Hmm, that kind of thing is usually from scaling the image or changing something global, not making a GIF. Did it have any white previously before conversion?

Anyway, yeah what AP said is right. Most of the time I just looks for them online, but sometimes I make my own (sometimes just for fun or practice). Here's 2 fairly simple ones that I made using sprites from Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga:
