Hey, just wondering, are you allowed to put files like exes or whatever you want in a .goomod (i.e. zip with changed extension) and upload it? Or would you get banned or something?

Only upload valid goomod files unless you have a utility program or something else that's helpful and has something to do with Goo. When that's the case, email David with the link to your addin page (before it's published).

So basically, no. I just wanted to know if it was possible to upload files that aren't WoG addins without emailing David. Not that I want to do that, just curious.

This is IRC. You can get to it anytime by going to GooFans -> Web Chat at the top of the site.

how do you use it?

Click on it. If it asks for a nickname, write one in. Then type stuff in the input box at the bottom and press enter to talk.

By the way, don't always expect someone to be on, especially David.

How did you get on the site without an email? Don't you need one to make an account?

Do you not have email, twitter, etc. because your parents don't let you?

I don't use twitter and Facebook because it seems dumb. Especialy after watching the adimomo show. I might use google plus later, if it seems good.

Well, you can put the file on adfly or something. Then put the link in your signature.

Just use that then. Send him a message (davidc at goofans) with your parents' email. Just give the link to the addin you want publish in the email, and he'll reply with "Done" or something short. I doubt your parents will mind. Else, just sign up for a Google Account (same as Youtube) and use gmail.
