I bought the game from 2DBoy.com and installed it on my HP Slate. But now the screen freezes as shown in this video:

Please help me fix this issue.
It looks like one of the files did not install right. Try reinstalling from the link you were sent.

Hi Albino did you see the video? I tried downloading and reinstalling but no success.
Looks like it's just really laggy. Can you tell us your specs? Although World of Goo is really really hard to lag.

Really laggy. There you go: HP Slate 500 : 2GBs of RAM, Intel GMA 500 graphics (DirectX 9.0C compatible), Intel Z540 1.86GHz CPU,8.9 inch capacitive touch screen by resolution of 1024*768.
Hmm, doesn't look like it would lag. Is it usually that laggy on the desktop? World of Goo didn't lag even on my 1GBram netbook with Steam/Skype in the background.

Are you playing at 1024*768, or 800x600? Lower resolutions are better usually for lower-end graphics cards.

I tried both resolutions through the "Config" file.
Guys where are you? anybody there?
2dboy doesn't respond to my emails. what kind of support is this?
The kind of support you get when people have actual lives. Be patient. One day is a very short amount of time on an internet forum. Only bump a thread if you go without an answer for a week or so.
That being said, have you tried updating your graphics drivers? I'm afraid I can't watch the video for a while due to limited-bandwidth internet, but I will when I get the chance. In the meantime, can you tell me when exactly it crashes?

Thanks but there is a "Contact" section on 2DBoy.com this is where i contacted them.
Yeah I've tried everything. The driver is already up to date. and about the time it crashes I have to tell you as soon as the level starts this happens. I'm more concerned about the $20 I spent on this. cause I can't benefit from that.
And what OS?
It'd be helpful if you could see the debug output. See here for instructions on doing so: http://goofans.com/faq/gootool/addin-development/how-do-i-see-world-of-g...

HP Slate runs Windows 7
OK I did it. Do you need the log file?
That would be helpful, yes.

For posterity and ease-of-access, I'll post it here:
This is REALLY strange. It's trying to open ".en.ogg" files, which it shouldn't. They should just be ".ogg". Did you set the lang=en in the config file or something? Because that's just bizarre.
IRC | Chapter Tutorial | Reference Guide
I didn't make any changes to the Config file. Now I checked the file and it says:
param name="language" value="en"/
Strange indeed, remove that slash "/". If that fails, I suggest you download the patch in MOM's signature.
Check out my SoundCloud, MomoSoundWaves
Mine is already Version 1.3 and I also tried that. still no success.
Try removing the "en" altogether? That might work...

What are the full contents of the config file? Make sure you have "/>" at the end of the line and not just "/".

Albino I tried that also. RedTheGreen it is how you said.I just couldn't post it like that cause it wouldn't show the text.
You need to put it in code tags. Type
<code> the contents of the file /code>
(make sure to put "<" before the "/code>" when you do it) and we'll be able to see it.I tweet like a bird

Ok:
<param name="language" value="en"/>
He means the contents of the entire file, not just that line.
IRC | Chapter Tutorial | Reference Guide
What is that <code> tag doing in there? That might be the problem.

That was my typing fault.
I think I got the problem. The average FPS on HP Slate is very low around 24 whereas it's around 175 on my PC.
In my config.txt, my line for the language is:
<param name="language" value="auto" />
But I'm using Linux. My Windows version has value="en". But it'd be worth a shot.
Can anybody else run the program to get their debug output to make sure we're not on a wild goose chase here?
