Hey, long time no post anvistage!

Unfortunately, as of yet there is no solitary application to play .binltl files. The only way right now is to make a mod/level/island that triggers it and watch it via World Of Goo.

There should be, though.

Hi!
are you talking about iphone app, droid app, or does it really not matter (they are both the same)?

Doesn't WoGme play those?

Hi there!

@puggsoy: Yeah, it's been a little time of no posting,
and its because I've been quite busy with high school.

@everyone: And I was asking because I tried to watch a movie that I made with Goovie, but when I press the "save & play" button, it happens nothing.

That's the problem...

Hm. Are you editing your MODDED WoG directory, in your /Users/ folder?

(If I'm being obvious, sorry, I haven't been familiar with all of this stuff for a long time ago)

Do you refer to the CUSTOM folder?

That's what MODDED means, yes.

Well yes, I'm editing my modded WoG directory.

What is your modded filepath?

C:\Users\[my user]\Documents\Custom\res\movie

They meant the filepath to the root of your modded WoG, which in this case would be C:\Users\[my user]\Documents\Custom. I'm assuming that that's actually what you set Goovie to, but if it isn't then you really should.

In any case you should remember that Goovie is still in beta (it'll probably stay this way for a long time to come), and it's possible that the testing feature doesn't even work at all.

Ok. Goovie is still beta. Now I just need to wait the testing feature to work.

Well now, going to another topic:
I need to find a good movie editor, because at school we're working with some tools for making "a business". I was in charge of the comercial for the business, but I needed to have a program (better than Windows movie maker) for my work. I first tried with Goovie, but since the test feature doesn't work with my movies,
I need to find a program that can run on Windows and can do many more things than the Windows movie maker.

If you know about any program that can edit movies and that runs on Windows,
please post it.

Thank you, Bazzinga!

I'm assuming you mean a free one, otherwise you could get Adobe Premiere.

There aren't many, but my dad got Jahshaka a year or two back. When we had it it was real difficult to actually do much, you had to figure out most by yourself, but right now it looks fairly popular and well documented. Version 3.0 is coming out in 40 days, but check out version 2.0.

Actually, maybe I should try it out sometime.

You don't want to use GooVIE. It only makes binltl files.

I personally like Premiere, but if you need something free, I don't know of anything more powerful that Windows Movie Maker. If someone you know has a mac and iLife, you could use iMovie.

Google helps. PixelProspector is a good place to look for this kinda stuff. It's specifically geared towards indie game developers, and is still a work-in-progress, but there's some good stuff there, like: http://www.pixelprospector.com/the-big-list-of-video-editors-windows-edi...

Thanks for the options guys, I hope one of these programs helps me.

off topic: does "bazzinga" refer to the "big bang theory" show/movie/whatever?

Yes, "Bazzinga" refers to "The Big Bang Theory", oh, I love that show!

Edit: I finally downoladed Jahshaka, and I'm testing it, right now.

(I'm not definitely sure if this movie maker is what I'm going to use for my proyect, but just in case, if someone knows how does v.2.0 works, please e-mail me at anakin_97@terra.com.mx)

P.S. Happy Holidays! (Even though it's not Xmas anymore).

Huh, I expected that version 2.0 of Jahshaka would have some sort of documentation or "getting started".

Just Google some tutorials and fiddle around with some simple videos to see what you can do. If you're dedicated it should be easy as pie in no time.
