Oh, by the way (just remembered), me and gunpowder1000 have discovered a hacker. He seemed to be hacking into the account "cookieman511" (not trusted) at the time, and had hacks such as speed, teleportation, and instantkill. Which are actually all Single Player Commands commands, it's possible he modified its source to work in SMP. I've included the IP from /whois at the time in a mail I sent to MOM4Evr. However, I don't know anything about hacking Minecraft servers, so it might be an IP spoof, because when he wasn't being hacked, he gave gp1000, me and gunpowder22 a free full set of diamond armour, and had a different IP. (Used, but still OK.)

What I'd personally really like in mc.goofans.com is a way to ban people without them being online, which I used to have, but after a recent update not anymore. That way I could just pop online and ban someone who's causing trouble rather than having to catch them online or anything, since I don't play Minecraft enough anymore to be able to catch them easily. Davidc?

what about just go the file where the server is, go to the ban list document, and write their username on it?

David is the only one with access to that document. It would also be tedious to tell him every time there is someone to ban.

Someone should also fix the railroad. The protection it has doesn't block against pistons, I'm afraid. Several track pieces are missing throughout because people used pistons to push the tracks out of the protected tiles.

I think that the spawn is ok as-is for now. It's just a small place where you can stay a night if need be, and a safe haven for before anybody goes outside. I don't technically have the permissions to change it either, really.

As for the railroad, yeah, it wasn't ever really done in the first place. It needed more powered rails back when I left it last, and I imagine that hasn't changed. Not sure if anyone even uses it, anyway.

As for the Minecraft server, I don't really play Minecraft much anymore, so I'm afraid I won't be coming on to fix minecart rails anytime soon. Protecting against pistons is nearly impossible, also, since they can push 8 (16? I forget) blocks at a time, and protecting that far out isn't really feasible. I can be on IRC today at 3:00, though, yes.
