World of Goo Themed Platform Game
The main charracter is a black Goo Ball that can run, jump, stick to vertical wall and climb on it. Enemies are other kinds of Goo Balls (Pokeys, Balloons, Bones, Bits, Bombs, Evil Eyes), dangerous spikes and gears. The goal is to feed Fisty the frog with a Goo-Drink from red can. You start from the Frog and must return at the start point after you got a can. Five available powerups can be helpful.

What is new in letest version (1.75)?
-possibility of switching off music and/or sounds
-extended possibilities of CustomPaint (conditions available)
-added possibility of animated stuff in the background
-deleted last remains of old explosion system*
-possibility of skipping one level per level set
-level Virtual Darkness replaced with new version
-some minor changes in other levels
-walls inside Fisty moved up
-fixed problem with Custom Event while showing menu (visible in custom "shaft levels")
-fast scrolling level list with Ctrl
-possibility of changing font color (just for fun)
-possiblity of hiding numbers of levels in the "island view" of custom sets

Platforms of Goo Level Editor (PoGLE) - version 1.02
-allows to add objects outside the play area
-allows to add tiles behind top bar (signed with red border)
-Quick-Tile function for adding spikes
-background scaled and positioned same like in game
-fast scrolling with Ctrl
-possibility of deleting all objects or tiles ([delete] key)
-possibility of hiding tiles in object-adding mode ([H] key)
-allows to customize Balloon Bonus sounds

Platforms of Goo Profile viewer - version 0.2
Simple tool allowing to view time records from your PoG profile (PoG Tool ).
*WARNING! In level Towers from chapter 5, cracked bridge between towers is not definitely destroyed by the explosion (since the machanism of explosion was updated). It makes the level a bit harder.
On October 31st I've published the source .gmk file of the game (last modified 07/08/2014).
This is the end of Platforms of Goo development. I have lost access to full version of Game Maker (I don't want to buy GM:S ) and also the interest in PoG is lower and lower. It was really nice to feel almost like a real game designer

Only particles and "advenced drawing" (scaling, rotating) are in pro edition. "Physics stuff" is my work (where is physic in it?) based on standard GML's finctins ( place_free, move_constac_solid etc.). Ball physic is based on states (wall detecting function state_check).
Probably you know, that code is located in different events and scripts. It's not easy to merge it in one place.

In archived dwnloads is now a engine.gmk file containing ONLY GOO BALL MOVEING ENGINE.
If you have lite edition, you need to make some changes before you can run it.

Level editor can now save level to a text file (but there is nothing that can read it).

"Weird translucent sphere floating in the air" is the image of Bomb Static displayed at mouse pointer. Alt-PrtSc not saves cursor image.

The engine of Pokey/Bomb's rolling is still incorrect.
Main idea tells: when there is a wall in front of Pokey - turn 90 degrees ; if there is no wall "under" Pokey (at direction +270 degrees) - turn 270 degrees. But there are some problems, when both conditions are true...

What do you mean ?
When you press any key, there will appear window. In this window you selects file with coded level. After that, bombs will start to burn and after the explossion you will be sent into the level you sellected. Then press any key to start play.

I'm not sure if this is intended, but the text files don't appear when you save a level. Otherwise we could start posting our levels on goofans!
Oh, and I understand pahaloom's problem. The first time I started it the bombs exploded and the window closed.

In the next version will be some new features I'm working on.
LEVEL NAME - displayed at the start of level
and
MUSIC (probably original, from WoG).
Level Editor is realy close to pe compatible with this features:

This bug appears because of wrong place of definition lev_ind variable. It was defined in GameStart Event. Version 0.12 doesn't contain it (I set lev_ind as a global variable), but there are other problems.

Size of level description is realy small. Probably the best way is to copy everything from file where level is stored and paste it into post.
I think moderators don't want to make other addin category for...
If you think it's good idea, I will create special forum topic for it, and describe how ADDIN-POST should looks like.

If it doesn't automatically download then just copy the text and then make an empty pog.txt file and then paste it and then place the pog.txt file into the game folder where all the other levels are.

Platfroms of Goo Level Editor saves levels into selected directory (If you creates new level). PoG.txt files are only text files, where information about objects positions is stored using my "special code".
Game can open level file, only when it's in game's "levels" folder. I fixed DOUBLE LOCATION BUG, that needs a copy of level file into runnig directory.
And about publishing custom levels at GooFans:
I said about copying text that level file includes. e.g.
(It's code of Pokey Invassion level)

Probably the next version will use different level codeing system.
Every level created before will need to be "recreated" with PooGLE v0.20.
Planned changes:
-possiblility of changing backgrounds
-Pokey doesn't spin in the air, if there's no wall
-CODE FEATURE, that allows to change Game Mechanic a bit for one level (monster's direction, gravity, friction etc.)

Hey! I have some cool ideas:
Make walls more interesting!!!
1.Make triangles, circles, and make things that you can ROTATE (freely or static)!
2.Rotation factor can be changed in the next version of PooGLE!
3.Free objects (objects that don't do anything but MOVE according to gravity), walls with more SHAPE and more DETAIL (picture changes).
4.Make walls you can't climb! Make "Ice" (that's slippery)!
5.Of course, you can't assign all of this to the keyboard buttons individually, but make the (MANY) different walls cycle through using the arrow keys (Same goes for the [Fisty, RedCan] group, and the Enemies/Monsters/Other Goos group, AND the [Fuse P-UP, Bone P-UP, Bomb P-UP] group)!
6.Also, one more thing (or maybe more than that), could you make different Goo-ball players, to go along with the (FUTURE) enviornment?
7.Say, how about making a Fuse player, an Albino player, a... Balloon player... nope, looks like an enemy..., uhh... a Bit and Pixel player? And I think that this idea is actually connected to #6... whatever.
8.How about being able to add an "Images" folder for those pics and for the possibility of importing them!... nope, you would have to give people those images if you wanted to make a level with custom images and post it... won't work... How about an image database in your game with ALL (well, almost, meaning those that you would like to put in) of the original images for WoG and walls to go with them (and don't forget to make them act like SceneLayers, if anyone wants to do that)!
OMG i never thought that i could think up so many ideas... sorry if most of these just happen to not be possible at the moment...

I said, that "Physic Simulation" is far away from my possibilites. So rotatable walls are impossible to create. Unclimbable ice-walls probably are possible to create. And I can try to create a wall, tha falls if you are standing on it for a "long" time.
I want to make THEME-FEATURE that allow you to change graphics of objects in the level. There will be .res.txt file definig backgounds and object-images.

I need some help with designing graphics.
I want to add a feature, that allow you to design look of spikes and walls ("not only square blocks!".
Can someone make wog-looking graphics converted to tiles like this (every cell 32x32, total width 128 pixels). But edge of wall in the picure must be at the edge of cell (there can't be as much space as in this example)
