@anvistage458: It's very simple, considering it's only slightly more difficult than just making a normal level.
You really only have to edit the levels 'island1' or 'island2' etc. based on which chapter you want to change. Play around with button aspects and figure out how to point buttons to your own levels. (must also be in the same mod, otherwise dependencies are required) Once you have made the chapter screen how you want it, you need to go to /res/islands/island1.xml.bin (or whatever island you changed) and (decrypt it in GooTool before doing this) change the names of the levels in the file to match your levels and the order they're unlocked in.
I found out all of this through experimentation.

There's a better way. The "map" attribute in the island.xml.bin can be changed to "redirect" the island button to a new chapter.

You can also change mapworldview's buttons to point to your own islands instead for the same results.

But only with the Map attribute, like I said. You can't change the onclick without screwing up the game.

Unfortunately, when I try to play the "Up" level in Chapter 2 with this add-in enabled, the game crashes. Every time.

Sadly, I could only play the first level, then it returned to the map screen and showed no more levels.
(This comment was originally posted on March 6, 2021, when I didn't have a fully legit copy of World of Goo. I have gotten a full copy since then and have played the entire chapter.)
