Imaginary radial forcefield???

I was playing my favorite original level on iPad (Welcoming Unit). The strangest thing happend, an ivy goo tarted getting attracted to a point just above the detacher 3000 (or whatever) as if it was a radial forcefield! I mean wtf!!! Itried taking it away from the point but it keft dashing back to a stretched orbit around the same bloody zone! The worst part is that when I decide to put it on the structure, the whole stucture started being pulled in too! Thus the stucture exploded on the detacher. Has anyone seen this before? is it a bug? A mysterious vortex? SO WEIRD!

I think it's most likely a bug, for various reasons:

1) It's the iPad version
2) The structure was only effected when the effected goo got attached
3) It hasn't been reported before, and WoG has been out for ages
4) Someone would have noticed it in the editor and commented on it

So yeah. See if you got the latest patch (if there are any for the iPad version, IDK).

That is balloon bug I think. Go and see the video in the fifth comment of this page.

There's been a similar bug in the past. I saw a video once of a balloon in Fly Away Little Ones being attracted to a point directly at the center of the tongue. That was on the Wii. I suspect that the Bug School #4 "balloon" bug and this one are closely related. That's interesting that it happened with an Ivy Goo Ball, however. Also interesting that a lot of people have played this game for hours on end and haven't seen this bug yet. My suspicion is that it doesn't happen as often in the PC version, though it happens almost never anyway. Strange. Count yourself lucky that you actually got to see it. Smile

Yeah, the fast cklicking (balloon) bug is working with every detachable Goo. Not only with balloons. It's just easier to reproduce it with balloons as with Ivys or Drained.
The strange thing is: it happened by itself on momo's Ipad.

Right. The video of the Wii that had the balloon was the same way. No fast clicking or anything.

I think this may be part of the same video:

Looks like the same as the fast-clicking bug, only I don't think this person clicked a bunch with their Wiimote.

EDIT: The video I was thinking of is here:

Now that I I think of it, i did tap it continuisly to get the last of the chain strands to fall onto the detacher. I will try to reproduce the bug.
EDIT:
Successful and caught on video:

Notice that i did not attach the ivy, just put it on the stucture.

I think @dwerdwer find this bug first. See the video: http://tieba.baidu.com/f/shipin/p/9f96fe43c389678ad9b9c133-1?kw=%D5%B3%D...

EDIT: This video has been uploaded two years ago.

Yeah this was occasionally reported on the Wii too, I suspect it's something to do with a force field being temporarily created while the mouse is down in order to implement "dragging", but some corruption causing it not to get deleted when you release.

The perfect explanation, that makes sense!

That's actually a really interesting idea, never thought of that.
