Note: this is NOT an official expansion and is not connected to the proposed "World of Goo 2."

This is the Chapter 1 Beta. It currently overrides Chapter 2 so as not to conflict with other mods.

1) GooTool does NOT like the empty text.xml.xsl in the merge folder.. and comes up with an error.
Just delete that file from the goomod.

2) More a "hint" than a problem
If you change addin.xml to be type mod and remove the whole tag... and everything inside it...
Then GooTool won't add the "Do Not Click This" Button to chapter 1

3) The island2.xml.xsl doesn't work quite right... and the game crashes when you click to enter chapter 2
Problem:
Because you've got the changes to the island attributes (island="island1X") in one and the adding of the level info in another....
The first template runs, and changes the island="", but then the second one runs, copies the original island data again, and adds the level info.

The result is... the levels get added, but the island=".." doesn't get changed.
Solution: Combine the 2 templates into one.

4) Space Junk level crashes at the start...
Missing res/music/Jelly <- is not an original file and is not included
original file is temp_jelly

5) Through the Mist crashes at the start...
Missing res/images/backgrounds/space <- probably custom image
and res/sounds/loops/loop_strongwind <- moved? copied? into a loops subfolder
the original loop_strongwind is just in the res/sounds folder

6) Landing.. crashes at the start...
helium ball is missing from goomod.

7) Sandbox1 ... crashes at the start...
Missing res/images/backgrounds/space ... again
and missing custom material trampoline

So.. on the XSL... difficult to explain in words what you need to change so...

You see the difference? It uses just one tag, copies island changing the 2 attributes then appends the new level info "in one go". You'll still need the "copy everything not matched" bit at the top, and the rest of the level info and the closing tags in your version.

Now... I've spotted another "problem"...
The StarDustRoad music from Super Mario Galaxy.. it's probably copyrighted so distributing it is illegal without a license or the original author's permission.
If you have either of those things, or can prove that it's copyright-free or that you are complying with it's licensing terms.... then OK
Otherwise you'll have to remove it and use something else.

And finally.. (I hope)....
You've also managed to hit a "sleeping grump" of mine, that's come up a few times before ... but you've just poked it with a very big stick... sorry.

Although... it's your own fault really... for being a bit lazy and adding the whole of the images/backgrounds and sounds/loops folders to your goomod when you only really needed to add 1 file from each....

{Edit - decided to take the problem public... since its does / could affect a lot of people, and I'm not sure what the long term solution is...}

I can't be sure but I suspect you might have fallen into the trap yourself.. you have installed some mods that added renamed original files, then you've used them in your levels thinking they were originals... and the problem grows...

For you the simplest solution will be...
Change the paths of the level resources to point to the "real" original files, and remove all the renamed / moved copies of the original files from your goomod.
I think this list is complete..

res/images/backgrounds/cave1 => res/levels/HangLow/bg
res/images/backgrounds/space => res/movie/Chapter5End/space_bg
res/music/Jelly => res/music/temp_jelly
res/music/LastofTheGooBalls => res/music/alwaysdestroythethingsilove(excerpt)
res/sounds/loops/loop_strongwind => res/sounds/loop_strongwind

That should knock the goomod size down to about 800kb and will hopefuly prevent this problem from getting out of hand.
