"Floating Balls" takes advantage of anchors to help with the low gravity. 2 screen shots also! =]

More of a goofans question than a WooGLE question, but anyhow...
Go to your mod's page, click the "Downloads" tab, and choose "Upload a new file."

Big problem found!
Even if an image is in WorldOfGoo/res/levels, the editor sometimes copies it into your level folder. I'm making a level pack with several "difficulties" so there are many similar levels, and the file size is enormous because it's making a copy of the background image every time I open the level.
Same with things in /res/music/

Cna anybody help me with this, please?

Take the folder with World of Goo in in and make a copy somewhere you have access, eg, the desktop. Be sure to copy it, not move it.

I think I know why it crashes when you use "End level" button in the menu. It tries to load the Chapter Map Screen, but:
a) can't figure out which chapter to use, and
b) doesn't know which profile is open.
B may seem irrelevant, but if it has no idea whose profile it is, WoG can't figure out which levels should be open and which should not.

Ok. So I bought World of Goo from Shockwave.com. I have the level editor downloaded, but when it opens it says:
File "C:\Program Files (x86)\Shockwave.com\World of Goo\properties\fx.xml.bin" does not exist. You likely provided an incorrect World of Goo directory.
When I open it from the file under shockwave...And when I copied it like Albino Pokey said it said this:
File "C:\Users\Richard-James.Rac.-VAIO.001\Desktop\properties\fx.xml.bin" does not exist. You likely provided an incorrect World of Goo directory.
So I don't know what I am doing wrong...
Thu, 03/24/2011 - 13:03
Can you go to "C:\Program Files (x86)\Shockwave.com\World of Goo\properties\" and visually confirm that fx.xml.bin does exist?
You have to provide WorldOfGoo.exe directory. Try pointing WooGLE to just "C:\Program Files (x86)\Shockwave.com\World of Goo\WorldOfGoo.exe"

Ok. So some how I got it to open the file. But now when I try to make a new level or clone a leve it says this:
Error 5] Access is denied: u’C:\\Program Files (x86)\\Shockwave.com\\World of Goo\\World of Goo\\product\\res\\levels\\RJ’
What does that mean? and thankd for your help
Mon, 03/28/2011 - 07:38
That means you need to copy the "product" folder to the desktop and run from there.
Or run WooGLE as admin.

if you got goos to look like goos, then make strands look like strands!

It's not good idea. When Goo Balls are true-looking, they covers level behind them. Strands would cover more space. I think the best way to show balls was the previous one - showing balls like geometries - rectangles and circles in correct size.
And there's some ugly effects with drawing images for geoms: they shouldn't be displayed in front of other geometry shapes. The order of displaying things should be like:
1. background of the work area (maybe using color defined in scene parameter?)
2. Low-depth graphics and signposts (negative and 0 depth)
3. images applied to geometry
4. goo ball images
5. hight-depth images and signposts (positive depth)
6. geometry shapes
7. goo balls shapes (if available)
8. hinges (maybe sliders like a yellow lines ?) and force fields
9. particles, labels...

Who knows whats " id " ?
Mon, 04/18/2011 - 16:13
id is an attribute on most elements, used by other elements to recognize it. It's very useful: for example, to hinge 2 things together, the hinge has to know their id's.

ok. so it seems that it is letting me open a new screen for a new level and clone a new level...but the side bars to add goo and items is unusable (grey)..why is this? can anybody help please!!!
Wed, 04/20/2011 - 21:21
Never mind XD I fixed it.
Thu, 04/21/2011 - 06:26
I can help you. I don't know all but I understand more than you. To get some items you have to go where you can select items. Then select those what you need. You even can select you drown items from desktop or where you are saved them on the computer. After you select those who you need you make a screen layer. When you get it you click on it and there will be properties of it. Then find where written "Images" and next to it click over there. But before you do that you have to copy something. Anything. Then paste it there next to where is written "images" and it will show you a list of the selected images. Then find which one is that, what you selected and click on it. Then click the enter (on your keyboard of course) and it will show you selected image. Or if you chose wrong one it will show you a different one. Then change it if you want to. But remember, if you select items before you select a background than all the items that you selected before will be behind the background and you will can't see them.
Oh you mean something else. Well that what I witted would help you select the items because it's very hard. Well... Not for me.
Who knows how to make a chapter or game?
Oh I mean "ib" not "id" and now i get it. Basically that means Internet browser. Isn't it? I'm telling that to Albino pokey who don't know

I need a help of OCDs! What I need to write or input there!? And how to play my own levels/ When I press the button play it opens me my copied world of goo but there isn't my level!
Fri, 04/22/2011 - 07:31
For what to write for an OCD, I already answered that question. It has to be exactly in the form "balls,#", "moves,#", or "time,#", where # is the number you want. Watch the error window on the bottom of the editor.
In order to be able to save and play a level from the editor, be sure you have the World of Goo patch: http://worldofgoo.com/dl2.php?lk=patch

Yes!!! I've got it! I finished the level "Flying chain"! But how can I send it to goofans.com ? And how to remove items from the list? No! Now I know how to remove them! But I still don't know how to send level to the goofans.com ! And what I need to do if camera traveltime delaying?
Fri, 04/22/2011 - 10:48
To publish, hit "Create Goomod". Then go to goofans.com, World of Goo Addins, Upload an Addin.
Another Planet finally has an official release! Download chapters 1 through 3 here! Thank you for waiting so long while I kept starting over.
Fri, 04/22/2011 - 11:05
As far as "Items from the list," I'm assuming you're asking how to remove elements from the level, addin, or scene trees. Simply select them and press the "delete" key or the big delete "X" in the top menu.
For camera delays, select the "normal" camera element in the level tab and select one of the poi's. (How many poi's there are will depend on how many you've made for the level). Traveltime and pause are per poi. To change the time it takes to travel to the selected poi from the last one, change the traveltime field (enter a number in seconds; obviously you don't want this too fast or slow), and to change the time it pauses at that camera location, change the pause field (once again, in seconds, and not too long or short of a pause; it'll require some testing until you get it to do what you want). BUT VERY VERY IMPORTANT: BE SURE TO DO THE EXACT SAME THING FOR THE "WIDESCREEN" CAMERA. Make sure it has the same poi's in the same locations with the same zooms, traveltimes, and pauses. If it doesn't, then some players (who play with normal aspect ratio) will have correctly-behaving cameras, while for others (who play with widescreen aspect ratio), it will be incorrect.
@DaB: If you're ever going to work more on this program, maybe lock the pois of the two different cameras together (changing one changes the other)?

Even though I just joined the site, this thing is GOLD!! I've been using it a while so be sure to look out for levels by me in the near future!!

Does anyone knows how to view a level if "another addin" using it? Whell you understand I've got two conts. Because my first cont's user name my real name. but I couldn't delete my "cookies" of goofans.com but i didn't make any level for that moment. But I even couldn't change my username so I maked a new cont. So what can I do!? ...
No! I get it!
Now I had one idea about the WoOGLE. Daft as brush, if you are the author of WoOGLE then I want to tell you something that you could add for WoOGLE. See that in my level's "Mars beauty" page about view

If a house that weighs 100 pounds (it's a small house) has five birds inside it and the birds start hovering in the house, does the house still weigh 100 pounds?.
Sun, 07/03/2011 - 11:26
You need to change a few different things: the minx, miny, maxx, maxy in the scene tag, and move the lines.

Try to reinstall then.
I've seen this problem for some times. I didn't find a solution yet. If the reinstallation doesn't work, try to right click on the Resource Item and click Add Image.

You have a glitch!
It can't save because of a non-ASCII character in your level. Are you using a different language, or did you type something weird into one of the elements?
