Certain badges may appear next to someone's forum posts and on their user profile page. They are awarded automatically when the relevant requirements are met. The meanings are:

"Famous author" is realy good idea. And there should be badges for authors of 20 best rating addins ("Respected author"?).
But I think, davidc won't agree with more than one additional badge.

Good ideas but it criteria has to be strict, like 1000+ downloads for "Famous author" or rating of 4.3+ for "Respected author"?

For now there's 96 famous addins (with 1000+ downloads) and 19 respected addins (rating 4.3+).

You could edit your profile to, for example, collect 3000 balls on Going Up. It's not that easy, but now that people know how to decrypt the files, it happens.

I noticed that you can have like 50 badges if you would use the engine used on this site. When you point the mouse on a badge it shows the complete badge information(well almost). If you could put a BADGES image and when you point on it it would appear all the badges in their short form. Then you'll point on a badge and it will show you all the information of the badge.

In Badges tab of user's profile there should be only full versions of badges, not the miniatures (I know you can point the badge and access the full view, but there's a lot of unused space...).

You get that badge if you upload a cheating profile to Goofans. For example, you could put tons of extra balls in certain levels, or give yourself all the OCDs.

Any particular reason why the 3 bottom badges were never implemented? They seem like pretty cool concepts to me in all honesty. And man, I never realized how hard it is to obtain some of these. I mean, the Bulletin Board System has the hardest to obtain OCD for me so far and I've only managed to get it somehow ages ago on different computer that I can't boot up anymore and having to struggle just to get that again is a real pain
I've made video footage of me recording that I really have obtained all of the OCDs in the game from that one computer since the GooTool is broken for me there due to deleting an account (davidc really needs to look into why that happens, as to my knowledge this has not been fixed). And recently I got a legit version of WoG for £0.65, thanks to a huge discount on the game. Speaking of, I've heard that the Steam version is one which cannot have your data uploaded on the site. If that is true, is there anything that can be done with this?

About not implemented badges:
There are several levels where collecting maximal possible number of goos is easy ("Ivy towers" for example). Also least moves for "Going Up" can be achieved easily. In fact the real base of records is the WoGFan site, not GooFans (I don't know why it's separated).
The topic of those badges was discussed in the prevoius comments. Today, when the golden age of GooFans is far behind, returning to this idea is a bit pointless.
PS. Bulletin Board System was the hardest OCD for me too
